Who's making your baby a lab rat?

Campaign Update: Thanks to consumer pressure, as of May 2016, Similac, Enfamil, and Gerber Good Start have all released at least one non-GMO infant formula option for parents concerned about GMOs. Read more on our blog. Of course, GMOs have no place in any of our food products, particularly those fed to babies, so we are continuing to urge infant formula manufacturers to remove GMOs from all of their products and move towards organic production.

Similac, Enfamil, and Gerber Good Start are exposing American and Canadian babies to unhealthy and under-studied GMOs (genetically modified organisms).

GMOs have never been proven safe for human consumption and the inadequate research that has been done on GMOs does not look at long term effects in humans, let alone infants.  A growing number of peer‐reviewed studies show the negative health impacts of consuming GMOs on laboratory animals over their life span.

Babies are particularly vulnerable when it comes to eating GMOs.

These companies spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to vote down GMO labeling in California in 2012, thus obstructing parents’ right to know whether or not the first food they are feeding their newborns contains GMOs.  A right granted to parents in 62 other countries because the labeling of GMO ingredients is required by law.

Tell these companies our babies deserve better than GMOs!
